About the Author

What is there to say about myself that would be worth the read... In my opinion there isn't much but I'll go ahead and take a shot at it. My name, for the record, is not Red. Red is just a name I gave myself to avoid putting my real identity all over the 'net. Paranoid perhaps, but we all have our issues. I live in Michigan, with my mother, brother, two cats and a dog. I attend college, though I have yet to find myself a major though I am likely to go in the English direction because it's been made clear that I am at least a little good at it, though I have toyed with the idea of moving into some sort of computer related field. manditory image of the author

My birthday is January 26th, making my an Aquarius if you go by the popular Zodiac, and since I have gone through the trouble of telling you that I expect presents. This year I turned the glorious age of 21 which means I can legally tromp into a bar and order myself a lovely pint of Guinness. I have yet to do that, but I am really in no rush to get it done.

I work in a video game store, which is not so wonderful as some people might think - though it is a nice way to feed my gaming habit. I have been working there for three years now and am beginning to wonder if I will ever get out. My favorite games include but are not limited to:

Outside of the video game thing, I like to spend my time playing my bass guitars, Seven Otis Coda and Candy Apple. Yes, I name my instruments.

As for writing, I've been at it pretty much since forever. Whether it be for my own release or for a class assignment I always seem to be writing something. My obsession with the written word started early in elementary school where teachers would have to pry books out of my hand just to get my to pay attention. Some of them complained about my book worm nature, but most of them were glad to see it - even if I didn't always pay attention to what was going on in class.

About the Web Site

Solitary Echo began as a hobby and still, in a way, is. Some years ago I was approached by my friends at the Wishing-Blue Network and offered a bit of web space for my own. Since I had always wanted a scrap of the web to myself (and because it was free ^^) I gladly accepted. In the beginning things were kind of a jumbled mess with no real direction and they actually stayed that way until recently.

In its latest incarnation, Solitary Echo is a place for me to display my bits of writing - half completed as they are. I have always been pretty bad at letting other people read my work, and am awful when it comes to receiving comments about it so, I decided to revamp my web page and give it a new purpose, turning it into a sort of showcase for my work to help me get over my little problem. Granted I have no idea how long that will take - so try and be gentle when leaving me criticism.
